It is hard to know what to believe with all the sensationalism in reporting news today. Some months ago, I was having a conversation with some fellow physicians and the topic we were talking about was, what can we believe anymore? We were talking about the field of medicine. Wouldn’t you think that would be a safe field where honesty is always reported? But we physicians know that when it comes to new drugs arriving on the market, in which a company may have spent hundreds of millions of dollars to bring it to market, they are gong to do everything possible to make sure it is a success.

Let me give you an example. Suppose, Pharmacy company A does 100 different studies on a particular medicine and 0.1% of the 100 studies show the new med...

For the first time last night I watched the entire Democratic Debate. Perhaps it should have been called the Democratic debacle. The entire stage unloaded on Michael Bloomberg. Everyone is down on billionaires. Makes sense, I guess, but I bet if you had a secret ballot and asked everyone who wants to be a billionaire, they all would have answered in the affirmative. Why not?

When you look at everyone up on the stage, not one of them had ever started a business except Bloomberg. Not one had ever employed hundreds of thousands of people. Get rid of him and you have a stage full of people that have never accomplished anything, or if they have, they were slow to point it out. They are all wannabes. They all extol the virtues of their propos...

In 1976 it was thought an outbreak of the Swine Flu, Influenza A, subtype H1N1 at Fort Dix, New Jersey was developing. Several soldiers at Fort Dix complained of a respiratory illness diagnosed as influenza. The next month, Private David Lewis, who had the symptoms, participated in a five-mile forced march, collapses and dies. The illness caused one death, hospitalized 13, and led to a mass immunization program. The majority of typical samples tested by the N.J. Department of Health were found to be the more common A Victoria Flu Strain. Atypical samples were sent to the main CDC in Atlanta where evidence was found of the Swine Influenza A, which was similar to the great flu epidemic of 1918 which killed millions of people worldwide. T...

The following is from Apple News:
Workplace drama at the DOJ: Over 1,100 former Department of Justice officials signed an open letter calling for Attorney General William Barr to resign after senior department officials intervened to reduce a sentencing recommendation for former Trump adviser, Roger Stone. The signatories argue Barr’s actions flouted the principle of “equal justice under the law,” but acknowledge they have “little expectation” he will actually step down.

Why would they not expect our Attorney General, William Barr to step down just because they requested it? I guess the obvious reason is that none of the DOJ officials stepped down when caught in their lies. Neither did the members of the FBI. Imagine that, all you nee...

In a POLITICO 44 Blog Eric Holder said he is still the president’s wingman. Attorney General Eric Holder brushed off a question Thursday about when he might leave the administration. Instead, the top lawman professed his allegiance to President Barack Obama.

"I’m still enjoying what I’m doing, there’s still work to be done.  I’m still the President’s wingman, so I’m there with my boy. So, we’ll see," Holder said in an interview on the Tom Joyner radio show.

Holder, who's been held in contempt at the House of Representatives,  and has been the focus of numerous Republican-led Congressional investigations, also joked that his childhood in New York left him well prepared for the slings and arrows of Washington.
"It’s tough, but when you u...

Are all you Americans aware of the new bills that Democrats are attempting to pass re: illegal aliens? The proposed bill is called the New Ways Forward Act. No publicity for the bill but the bill is sponsored by 44 Democrats, including Ilhan Omar and AOC. It is 4400 words long, very similar in length to our Constitution.

It would remake our immigration laws completely, and allow criminals to immigrate to the United States with complete immunity. Convictions of felonies should not lead to deportation. Hasten Garcia, of Illinois, is for this. Crimes of moral turpitude are not reasons to deport. Child molestation, racketeering, and other felonies are not grounds for removal from our country. Imagine that! The illegal aliens have no laws t...

Why is it that only Republicans are ever charged with perjury? What kind of one-sided justice system do we run? We have never charged Democrats for murder when they used to run around on their ponies in white sheets hanging blacks. Can a Democrat do anything unlawful and get away with it? Why do the American people put up with this? Do all of us not care about justice anymore? OR, have we all become so jaded from seeing all the injustices in our country, that it is less painful to look the other way?

We know justice is not fair in our country. The wealthy all seem to get a pass. If you are a minority, you get stepped on. Of course, if you have no money, and have crossed the wrong person, our system is going to give you a public defender...

Do any of you reading this ever wonder why relatively few people have such a profound influence on our society? Why did we get rid of prayer in the schools?

As of 2014, the Pew Religious Landscape survey reported that 22.8% of the U.S. population is religiously unaffiliated, atheists made up 3.1% and agnostics made up 4% of the U.S. population. The 2014 General Social Survey reported that 21% of Americans had no religion with 3% being atheist and 5% being agnostic.

The above statistics point out that barely over one quarter of the people of the USA are not committed to religion with only 3% being atheist. How do a couple of these people manage to get prayers thrown out of the school, when the majority of American citizens are against...

It is something that now the grand poohbah of Iran, Ali Khamenei, would like Democrats moving to their country. He said Iran has been trying to get rid of the Great White Satan for years and meanwhile the Democrats are accomplishing more to destroy the country they hate, than they have been able to accomplish over many years.

Recently, when Qasem Soleimani was killed by America forces at the order of our POTUS Trump, the Democrats were actually the ones in mourning. The streets of Iran were filled with mourners, but they got shot if they did not mourn. It was only a short time later that Iranians were demonstrating in the streets to get rid of the government they have. Seems the only people supporting the Iranian government are our ow...

Once again, our country, the USA, is having a knee-jerk reaction to a new flu or viral threat. Everyone is trying to get a vaccine out rapidly for the Coronavirus that is hitting China right now. How good are we at accomplishing that? We couldn’t do much for SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome). SARS was also caused by a Coronavirus, but a different strain. What is the downside of achieving a fast-track vaccine? Do we use all the same safety measures? Or do we take short-cuts?

In 1976 the Swine Flu hit the United States and was first diagnosed in a soldier at Fort Dix, New Jersey. That soldier was ill but participated in a five-mile forced march and died. Thirteen other young soldiers were hospitalized. Hysteria led to the rapid de...
