Big Pharma, A License to Steal

How did our huge American pharmaceutical companies become among the fastest growing, wealthiest businesses in the world? Obviously, it is because of the country where they are located (here) and where most of their drugs are sold (here).

Why does it happen here? Because America is the wealthiest country in the world. We use 46% of all medications produced in the world. When it comes to narcotic use America breaks all records. We use 80 - 90% of all narcotics produced in the world. Our government blames all the other countries in the world for our illegal drug use. Amazing, huh?

Why not educate our children not to use drugs? Why does our country use most of the drugs produced in the world? Perhaps it is tied to the poorest education of Americans in the industrialized world. Perhaps it is tied to the fact the United States of America is one of two countries in the world that allows constant bombardment of our youngsters with advertising pushing the benefits of drugs. Why not push studying and physical education? Probably because that does not pay well for our politicians.

The following are old statistics. Hope things have gotten better. Now that would be a change for government, wouldn’t it? Three senators in the United States do not receive money from big pharma. Ninety percent of our representatives receive money from big pharma. Why change anything that may decrease your paycheck? I am not going to blame all our politicians for our educational woes, but they could get the damn federal government out of the schools. It does not belong. Education can be handled by the state and local governments.

In the coming 2020 election keep track of the politicians who want to be involved with your children’s education and vote them out of office. The pedophiles, of course, vote into prison.
