America and Redistribution of Wealth
If America suddenly adopted socialism, how would that work? Would it work? As of March 5, 2019 according to Forbes, there are now 2,153 billionaires in the world. The combined net worth of these billionaires is 8.7 trillion dollars. Let’s just give all that wealth away to each person on the planet. By my calculations, each man woman and child would receive about $1,144.00. That would amount to extreme wealth to some people and to others may help pay the car and house payment. Check my math all of you out there. I think that was a course in which I probably did poorly. I don’t think, I know.
I suspect if this could be done, all the people currently having most of the wealth of the world, would reaccumulate all their wealth within a couple years and the world would be back running as it is now. Or when some of these individuals become rich again, would we keep taking that wealth away from them and redistribute it? How would that work?
After working hard and building another Walmart, Amazon, or Apple and having it all put into a collective, would they keep it up, or finally resign themselves to just go to work every day and let the masses put into the collective and take care of them for a while? After all, what would they gain? Can any of you people out there think of a reason why they would do this?
Does this all get down to ideologies again and the nations’ people? Why has there never been a successful nation on the continent of Africa? Why are so many of its countries failing?
Does America’s wealth come from the fact that we are a melting pot and seemingly a collection of some of the best minds in the world? Are we blessed with more natural resources? Africa is a continent with an impressive wealth of resources.
What has made America the most successful country on the planet? I personally think it is because it is a Christian nation based on Christian principles and we have the blessings of God. I know there may be many atheists who want to stone me now but can any of you come up with a better reason. This is a question I want to pose to all of you. Why is America the destination for many people of the world?
