How is it that the United States is now worried so much about the Kurds and we have now allied with groups that the rest of the world recognizes as terrorists? Why is it the USA supports groups such as the PKK (Peoples’ United Revolutionary Movement)? The PKK is made up of Leninists, Marxists, Communists, and other Socialists. All of whom are trying to overthrow the conservative Turkish government, who incidentally happens to be a NATO ally of the United States.
Many of the PKK have been trained by the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization) who are definitely not friends of the Americans or Israelis. Is this something supported by the Democrats? After all, this group of Kurds wants to establish a socialistic or communistic Kurdish state and call it Kurdistan. The Kurdish rebels fight against every country they reside in because they want their own autonomous state. This sounds much like the Democrats, doesn’t it? No wonder they want a socialist Turkey and Syria.
That does not seem too unreasonable for the Kurds. However, doing so with suicide bombers, the women are called “Goddesses of Freedom”, executions (768), and massacres killing more than 300 people is not exactly the way to get world opinion on your side. So why is the United States trying to help get communism installed in a conservative ally’s country? I am guessing that most of our politicians do not study up on the groups they are supporting. It does not seem reasonable for us to be supporting terrorists while condemning terrorists when they come to our country.
Is it worth it to Americans to have even one more soldier killed in a senseless war that has been going on for hundreds of years? America is not going to change that. We cannot end tribal feuds that have gone on for generations. We cannot and must not support terrorists unless we want those terrorists suddenly in our midst when we do not do as they want. America has already armed them to continue their endless conflicts. Once more we may have done a huge disservice to the countries these struggles are taking place in.
As much as America may like to, we cannot be the peacemakers for the entire world. All we need do is look at the last twenty years of wars and see we do ourselves more harm every time we enter another foreign battle. We are responsible for the displacement and or death of millions of Christians.
