Obama’s Eric Holder Wingman

In a POLITICO 44 Blog Eric Holder said he is still the president’s wingman. Attorney General Eric Holder brushed off a question Thursday about when he might leave the administration. Instead, the top lawman professed his allegiance to President Barack Obama.

"I’m still enjoying what I’m doing, there’s still work to be done. I’m still the President’s wingman, so I’m there with my boy. So, we’ll see," Holder said in an interview on the Tom Joyner radio show.

Holder, who's been held in contempt at the House of Representatives, and has been the focus of numerous Republican-led Congressional investigations, also joked that his childhood in New York left him well prepared for the slings and arrows of Washington. "It’s tough, but when you understand what the stakes are, and what the opportunity is that we have, I can deal with all the nonsense," Holder said in the interview. "I can deal with whatever they throw at me. I grew up tough in New York City, you know, so if this is the best they’ve got in Washington, I’m ready for it."

I have a bit of a hard time understanding why a president still needs someone protecting the office politically, when they are no longer in office. It seems to me as if this politicizes the statements Holder is making. And what are the opportunities he is talking about? I guess I can see why they may have opportunities after giving Iran pallets loaded with $1,500,000,000.00 in cash and transported in the middle of the night. Why? What does $1.5B in cash buy for you?

That pile of cash did not pay for anything for the USA; therefore, it must have bought a boatload of favors for Obama and his cronies. What amount of that cash is given back to the givers, either in cash or favors? Do you suppose the phrase “Let me kiss your ass, give you a pile of cash and won’t you please be my friend?”, about sums it all up. Perhaps it is all clever business negotiations. Or more likely it is clever for the deceitful deceiver. I wish we knew what went on behind the scenes.

Do any of you suppose the Democrats gave that money with the agreement that it be given back to the Democratic party to pay for the next election? Would that be considered buying an election just the way Michael Bloomberg is doing so?
